Anna started her artistic career as a member of the award winning LA-based City Garage theater company. She’s currently collaborating with other artists to create original works that challenge our notions of justice and equity.
Anna has a special love for black box theater. She’s played a range of roles in classical to contemporary productions, from Genet’s The Balcony (Envoy) and Brecht’s Jungle of Cities (Mary), to Johnson’s Brilliant Traces (Rosannah), and Wilson’s The Mound Builders (Jean).
Anna believes in promoting non-traditional casting and producing works that raise awareness and money for causes. She’s co-produced and acted in plays and roles written for men, such as Albee’s Zoo Story (Jerry) and Reza’s Art (Marc). She co-produced Kempinski’s Duet for One (Stephanie) to benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
Anna is working on two plays and a novel, all of which use fiction to unpack politically charged issues that risk fraying the fabric of our democracy.
